About Me

Hi! My name is Fernie and I am the founder of Here and Now Coaching. This dream began after having to plant a church in 2020 right as the world shut down for Covid. Everyone had ideas about how to move forward, but the reality was that no one had planted a church during a global pandemic before. We were all just trying to figure it out every single day. During that launch, we made a lot of mistakes, but we also learned a lot. We wanted to give up many times, but there were also many times when  we were in awe of what was happening. We would come up with plans only to have to change them immediately due to new regulations. It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do, and I am so thankful that we kept trusting God through it all. 

In the end, we planted a community of about 100 people. that was focused on small groups, worshipped once a month, and had a deep desire to serve the community around it. We were convinced we would be there forever. But in 2024, we felt God calling our family to move to San Antonio. This meant that i would no longer get to pastor this church community, but I knew that everything I learned would not be for nothing. Which is why Here and Now Coaching was launched. 

That experience put a passion in my heart to help churches bring about heaven on earth for all people in their own unique ways. This is accomplished by developing contextual systems, strategies, and semaphores, that make ministry more effective and easier to measure. I don't know all the answers, but I truly believe that together we can inspire a movement that brings abut heaven here and now.
